Executive Producers Don C. Hall, former team leader in F/51st LRP, served as a police officer in Southwest Virginia after leaving the military in 1970, and then worked for many years as a leading private investigator for such companies as Boeing and Alaska Airlines, and for large insurance companies and private attorneys. Don’s contacts in the military opened the door for the shoots at Ft. Benning and Ft. Bragg. He studied film-directing classes taught by Stanley Kramer and took film courses at the University of Washington and numerous other film and video-production courses. Annette R. Hall worked for many years at Microsoft, where she gained extensive experience working with computer graphics and managing content collections. She also took video- and film-production classes, as well as camera-acting classes. Creating art both traditionally and on computer, Annette is a gifted fine artist and graphic designer. She managed the project with Virginia Hashii, created the maps for the documentary and handled all production and clean-up work on the photos, and provided art direction. In addition to co-authoring Don Hall’s memoir, I SERVED, she designed and produced the book, plus all the SILENT VICTORY and I SERVED promotional materials, and this web site. Producer/Director Virginia Hashii started out as a film editor in New York and worked her way up to producing, writing, and directing industrial, educational and documentary projects for a variety of network, film, and non-profit broadcast companies, and magazines. In the early 1990’s, she took a sabbatical from the industry and moved to the Pacific Northwest to pursue additional education. She resumed her career in the industry by taking on the producer/director role for SILENT VICTORY. Editor James P. Golingo’s work on SILENT VICTORY was his first experience with documentaries, and he met the challenge with aplomb and professionalism. While a Senior Editor at Piranha Productions in Seattle, WA, his skills with Photoshop and After-Effects help create captivating commercials and corporate videos. His passion and talent for video has also resulted in Emmy Awards and Broadcast Emmy Nominations. Jim has worked with multiple video formats and non-linear systems, with a special emphasis on High Definition and finish work performed on Avid's DS system. Employing his highly developed technical expertise and natural artistic talent to work on a wide range of projects with a variety of clients, Jim honed his skills enabling him to explore many creative editorial areas. He now runs his own company in Seattle, WA, GolPost, where he specializes in Video Post Production, including graphic design. Director of Photography (Ft. Benning, Ft. Bragg, Florida shoots) Tony Foresta of FTC Orlando is a two-time Emmy Award winning cinematographer. He has filmed wars, modified camera stabilization methods for everything from helicopters to motorcycles, done music videos, corporate projects and a long list of feature films, Dead Presidents, Puddle Cruisers and Blue Saloon, just to name a few. His clients include AT&T, CBS, ABC, IBM and even David Letterman, for whom he shot the popular opening sequence. DP/Documentary Cameraman (Wilmington, NC shoot) Dusty Powers of HD Crew is a DP/Cameraman with over 35 years experience and an extensive production package including lighting and sound. He now specializes in HD projects. He is based in Wilmington, NC. Director of Photography (Washington State shoot) Karel Bauer is an award-winning director of photography in film and video. Karel shoots nationally and internationally and has won numerous awards, including Tellies, Cine's, and an Emmy nomination. His broadcast credits include work for all the major US television networks, History Channel, Discovery Channel, National Geographic International, Rick Steves’ Europe, Art Wolfe’s Travels to the Edge, Travel Channel, PBS, A&E, VH1, MTV, UK Channel 4, Nippon TV, NHK, and ZDK Germany, as well as many others. Composers Kieren DeVerniero, a talented musician, learned the Vietnamese music scale in order to compose the beautiful Asian-style music heard in SILENT VICTORY. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1967 to 1971 and was with the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines, and 3rd Marine Division while in Vietnam. Alan VeuCasovic is a talented composer who contributed a variety of beautiful original pieces to SILENT VICTORY. He is a freelance engineer/producer specializing in original film/TV composition, alternative, rock and electronic music production. He is based in southern California.
